Sole Power Battle
On Friday Jan 27 I went to an Indiana only jam and won the power and footwork battle. Roach and I also made it to the finals in the 2v2 but lost. It was nice to get out and battle since this is my senior year at IU and its been tough to travel and train like I use to. Im posting some of the rounds I did at the jam. Thanks to Coda and Ft Wayne for throwing a great jam.

Give your judges one chance.
When you enter a battle with judges you have never heard of what do you do? Some refuse to enter, some dont care. I say if you have never seen them judge or break before, give them one chance to judge you. IF they judge in a way you dislike then NEVER enter a battle with them as judges again. This way, youre not just calling out every judge for making a bad call (especially if they are not in...

Cypher of Fortune 2 St. Louis November 20, 2010
I went to this jam with Dent with no expectations. I hadnt been to a st louis jam yet and wanted to check out the scene. The bboys there are very welcoming and have a lot to offer. They all have their own uniqueness to their breaking. It was definitely inspiring. I made it to the finals and lost to Wolf and Yen, congrats to those guys. Larry and I held it down though all night. Experience...

Teaching
“A good teacher doesn’t teach you to be like him, but rather how to be you” -Roxrite
I have taken a liking to this quote because being president of a bboy club means I teach many people all the time and this quote reminds me that if somone doesnt do something I teach them the way I do it, thats a good thing. Let dancers develop their own style, all I can do is give them the tools to...

Bashville Stampede 6
This was the third time I had to been bash and it was doper than ever. Unfortunately Vizion, Rox-it, and myself did not make it through to top 16 but I still had a blast at the event. We can only do better next year. Congrats to Squadron for taking the title.
City vs. City
The final ten bboys have been selected for City vs City in June. Im ready to rep Indiana to the fullest. Still got other battles to take care of first though.

Ft. Wayne Practice
Last night Coda and the Hip Hop Dance Studio hosted a practice for any bboys in the area. Bboys from Tennessee, Michigan, and Indiana came to session together. I enjoyed the practice very much despite my slightly injured hand. I learned many things at this practice and I look forward to practicing those things now that I have some more motivation.
Thanks to all who came out and supported the...

Understanding yourself
“When there is freedom from mechanical conditioning, there is simplicity. The classical man is just a bundle of routine, ideas and tradition. If you follow the classical pattern, you are understanding the routine, the tradition, the shadow - you are not understanding yourself.” -Bruce Lee
